Build – Week 1

Or maybe that should read destruction! Work started on the 12th of January which was glorious in many way. Not only had work finally begun,  over 18 months since we first discussed renovating with our Architects, but it was one of those amazing January weeks Рcrisp & bright. The work/destruction undertaken in that week was incredible. In no time the house was literally a shell. There was certainly a mix of nerves and excitment but mostly relief that it was finally beginning.

Below are some photos to give you a flavour of that first week.

As you can see no part of the house remained untouched…things would never be the same again!

Stay tuned for more photos over the next while.

I’m back!

And our house is nearly finished!!!!

2015 got off to a rough start for us……well me. I broke my wrist on the 4th of January and spent the next 6 weeks trying to navigate my way through returning to work after maternity leave, raising two small boys and renovating a house…..an old house. All of which probably explains why it has taken me so long to resume this blog…4 months in fact. The thing is that while I haven’t been posting I have been busy doing! Therefore over the next while I will take you on a whistlestop tour of the renovation……warts and all! So brace yourself….
